COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A search for a woman suspected to be involved in a deadly shooting near Decatur Court is underway by the Columbus Police Department (CPD).
According to officials, the incident occurred near Decatur Court in an apartment on Fleming Avenue around 3 p.m.
The Muscogee County Coroner says 48-year-old Lacoya Whittlesey was taken to Piedmont ER, where he was pronounced dead slightly after 4:30 p.m. as a result of his gunshot wounds to the torso.
CPD’s Violent Crimes Unit is searching for 35-year-old Rwanda Hill as a suspect in the deadly shooting. Officials are considering the suspect armed and dangerous.
